Taylor Loughran’s path into filmmaking began with an injury that led him to pick up a camera. What started as a diversion quickly became a lifelong pursuit, combining his love of the mountains with a passion for visual storytelling.

Since then, his work has taken him into some of the world’s most remote and demanding environments, including a month-long expedition deep in the Alaskan backcountry, Chile’s northern deserts, Patagonia and Canada’s High Arctic north of Pond Inlet on Baffin Island.

Based in British Columbia, he works across commercial productions, documentaries and expeditions, creating films and photographs rooted in authentic moments and a strong sense of place. Whether on a commercial set or deep in the backcountry, he is drawn to stories that demand resilience, curiosity and human connection.
